Thank you 2022.
Yesterday, I opened a blank page to write something either about 2022 or 2023 and what I wanted and I ended up writing a thank you note to 2022.
It poured out of me and I got emotional several times.
I invite you to try this exercise out and see what comes out of you. As you remember the highs and lows, heartbreaks and joys. You don’t have to be grateful for the hard times. Be authentic to how you feel - and let yourself feel a bit deeper in. For example if you are angry about something - see if there is something in that to be grateful for, but you don’t have to force yourself to find the good.
AND look for the good and acknowledge it - big and small! Acknowledge how you took care of yourself, what you said yes to, what you said no to.
Here is what I wrote:

Thank you for your lessons.
Thank you for your nudges.
Thank you for your questions and your answers.
Thank you for reminding me over and over again
that life is a big experiment with no failing
or mistakes - just living and learning.
Thank you for guiding me back to a deeper
self trust and inner confidence.
Thank you for reminding me of who I am and
who I want to be for myself and for others.
Thank you for the many, many, many reminders that brought me back to what really matters.
Thank you for the tears, the belly laughs,
the music, the dancing, and the fun.
Thank you for the friendships new and old that held me.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
And I want to thank you for being here in this space with me. I am grateful for you!
